Loma Linda
The Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House® (LLRMH) is located near the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and provides affordable lodging for families of children undergoing treatment for cancer and other serious illnesses. The LLRMH can accommodate 22 families whose children are hospitalized in neonatal or pediatric intensive care facilities or are being treated as outpatients.
Since its founding in 1996, the LLRMH has welcomed more than 8,000 families from over 12 countries. The availability of the LLRMH alleviates the stress families would have to endure by sleeping on cots at the hospital or incurring the additional expense of finding a local hotel. Additionally, the House provides families with the added comfort of being surrounded by those who understand and can relate to the ordeal of having an ill child.
The LLRMH is designed to provide all the comforts of home. Guests are assigned to private bedrooms and are encouraged to utilize the communal playroom, game and family center, living room, dining room and kitchen. A chapel and library serve as quiet corners for personal reflection.
