Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California has announced plans to build a Ronald McDonald House on the Long Beach Memorial Hospital campus at the location of the current Memorial Guest Residence building. The Long Beach Ronald McDonald House will provide low-cost temporary housing for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at Miller Children’s Hospital and other nearby medical facilities.
Designed as a refuge that provides all the comforts of home, the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House, when completed, will have 25 bedrooms with private bathrooms, communal living and dining rooms, a kitchen, and laundry facilities. Children can play in a designated playroom and game facility.
