More than $200,000 in scholarships are awarded annually to eligible high school seniors who reside and attend school in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties. Recipients must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership skills and a commitment to their communities. Since 1990, more than $4.5 illion in scholarship funds have been awarded to Southland students.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California funds scholarships to local students as part of the RMHC ongoing commitment to education. The McDonald’s Operators’ Association of Southern California (MOASC) funds the administrative costs needed to make the Southern California scholarship program possible.
2013 recipients will be announced soon. Applications for the 2013-2014 program will be available in the fall.
Ronald McDonald House Charities/Hispanic American Commitment to Educational Resources (RMHC/HACER) recognizes Southland Hispanic high school seniors for demonstrating excellence in academics and financial need to pursue a higher education. Since its creation in 1990, HACER has awarded more than $2.7 million in scholarships to more than 1,700 students.
Ronald McDonald House Charities/African-American Future Achievers honors Southern California African-American high school seniors who plan to make an impact in their communities. Students submit an essay describing their community service and leadership abilities and how their future endeavors will benefit society. Future Achievers has funded nearly 600 students with nearly $750,000 in scholarships.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities/Asian-Pacific American Students Increasing Achievement scholarship program pays tribute to high school seniors of Asian Pacific descent. Students must submit an essay detailing their leadership skills and community service, along with a letter of recommendation from a nonprofit community-based organization. In addition to the scholarship, a $500 honorarium is awarded to the community-based organization of each recipient’s choice. ASIA has given nearly $940,000 to more than 500 students since it began.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities/Scholars scholarship is open to all high school seniors demonstrating excellence in academics, character, leadership, and financial need. Since it began, Scholars has awarded more than 201 scholarships totaling more than $375,000.
